Boxing Day: The Preperation

So Christmas is around the corner (about 2 and a half weeks away!) any my gift shopping is almost complete, hoping to complete it this weekend. But after Christmas comes Boxing Day for us Canucks and its the time of the year where we go insane with sales at stores that we spend even more money than we spent before Christmas!

I am one of those people... well sort of... hehe.

I plan on being outside of the Best Buy near me at 3am with 4 or 5 of my friends, waiting in the nice chilly cold to go into Best Buy and buy items that are all on sale... mostly hehe.

Last year I went with only plans on buying a hard drive for my PS2 and a wireless router.

This year I've been making more plans as to what I want to look for/buy.

Originally I was planning on buying a nice 50" DLP Projection TV but after some number crunching and looking at what Best Buy had to offer (at least on their floor) I decided to wait until closer to Boxing Day to see what the price drop would be. Thus, I am now creating an alternate list of items I would like to purchase (and in about 5 minutes of writing it the cost was about $400 hehe)

If my plan falls through of buying a nice TV then my alternate list will be more than enough to make me feel giddy hehe.

Can't wait for Boxing Day!

Wee for the Wii!

Well, I was going to go for a nice nature walk this weekend... but luck was definitely on my side during Saturday.

This is how my weekend went:

After being bummed out on Friday morning running around (during work I might add) looking for a Wii that Best Buy said they had, I found out they handed out tickets at 8am... well boo for that... So I went back to work semi-upset but decided I would get the system on Boxing Day.

Friday evening had Dan, Ashley and myself playing Xbox 360 games until 10ish and I played some Final Fantasy XII until about 2am-ish and then went to sleep.

Saturday... heh... Saturday I woke up and played more Final Fantasy XII. I was talking to Dan and he asked if I was going to go with him to the airport to get his dad with him. I agreed cause he didn't really know where to go and I did. I asked if we could go to the EBGames before heading out and he say sure.
So we head to the EBGames and as I'm buying my Final Fantasy III for my DS the manager asks Dan and myself if we want Wii's. Dan and I look at eachother and say 'Yes!'. So we got two tickets to get in line for the Wii, Dan with #10 and myself at #11.
Eagerly waiting for the Wii shipment to come in (took about 10 mins) we saw the boxes roll by and the manager went to the back to get them. Out he then came carrying boxes of beautiful Wii's and announcing that they only had 11 instock. I did a victory cheer as the guy infront of Dan and I asked if I was number 11 and, gleefully, I nodded.

So after $520 later I have a Wii with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and an extra Remote Control and Nunchuk Control in Dans back seat of his car as we are crusing to the airport to get his dad all the while talking about the Wii.

Needless to say this made my Saturday an amazing one.

After dropping of his dad and home, Dan and I went to Blockbuster to pick up Redsteel (Dan wanted to try it out) and then headed to my place to play with our Wii's.

Took about 15 - 20 minutes to set up the system but once I got it turned on I was happy like a fat kid in a candy store!

The Mii channel is one of my favourite channels. I always send my friends to that channel first to create a virtual version of themselves to play in Wiisports with.

Speaking of WiiSports, it has to be currently my favourite game just after Zelda. Playing Tennis, Bowling and Golf with 4 friends is so much fun! And Boxing is a blast when fighting a friend (as long as you make your Mii characters look like yourself, it just like beating the crap out of your friends!).

Anyways, I'll stop boring you with my Wii-mania hub-bub.

Saturday night I stayed up till 3am playing Zelda and then got up again at 6am to go to breakfast with Dan and Dave (Dave got off work at 6am, sucker :P) After breakfast we played Wii until 10pm... hehe... just a bit addicted no?

All I can say is the Wii is so far the most addicting video game console system right out of the box out of the 3 Next Gen systems due to WiiSports and the creativity of the WiiRemote and motion-sensing. I think Nintendo has done something amazing with this system and I will be playing it for sometime to come as long as the games are as interactive and entertaining like the current launch games.

Now I better get back to work... if I have any work to do... heh and since my arms are still sore from the weekend of playing Wii that typing makes them hurt hehehe.

The Past, the Present and the Future

So it's been quite some times since I last posted anything... I've been rather busy... but not that busy that I couldnt update my blog... I just kinda forgot about updating it hehe... oops!

So heres a new update finally!

The holidays are coming! Have you started your gift shopping yet? I'm about half done hehe, just need to get something for my mother and sister. Wee! hehe no shopping chaos for me... yet...

I am planning a New Years party that will be incorporating a gift exchange of sorts. It should be fun! Hoping to have a Nintendo Wii by then... so should have tried to pre-order one before they came out... damnit... hehe.

Went to Bobcaygeon this weekend past, it was really really fun and relaxing! I wish I could do that again sometime soon... who knows... hehe. Thanks for the shelter Lisa! It was a blast to go. Should do it again sometime next year!

Also went to a Magic Show out in Vaughn. My friend was in it so he got us in for free. It was fun but nothing too spectacular. It was held at the Dave and Buster's so while we were waiting for the show we were walking around. Might go back there someday and play some games hehe.

Nothing much else has happened other than that really... haven't been taking many pictures since Im waiting for the snow to finally fall and stay on the ground heh...

Oh! I finally have been promoted at my work after 3 years of work on and off... hehe almost a year of full-time work now but about 2 years of part-time during college and before, but now I am officially apart of the IT department which now consists of 2 people... my friend who is now my manager and myself! Yay! hehehe. Although it's been a week and I still don't know what my salary is... or how much vacation I get... hopefully by Monday next week I'll know.

Going to an Animecon on the 3rd of December downtown. Free admission so it is going to be worth going hehe. Don't know how big it will be...

This weekend looks very promising! Temperatures in the 10+ celsius woo! Might take some walks along the trails and take some pictures... we'll see... hehe.

Off I go!

A new year ahead of me...

As of Oct 1st I turned 22... getting old... hehehe. A new year ahead of me with so many choices, chances, events and enjoyment to be had.

Went to Gabs' Cabare thing... have no idea how to spell it properly and don't really care hehe.
It was rather good, Gabs did very very well as wel las Megan. the different chior groups were really good sounding and the snacks were good too hehe. Only bad part was the amount of showtunes... ugh... hehe.

Not much else has happened. Last night went to dinner with Gabs, Dan, Cabs, Pie and Ash for Gabs' birthday. Was fun to see Gabs with a viking helmet on while the staff sang happy birthday :P hehehe.

Today I'm stuck out in Mississauga until 9ish tonight... After work I'm going to a co-workers for dinner with most of work invited, heh. Should be fun, kinda sucks that my camera batteries died this morning...
Hoping to leave by 7:30 - 8 at the latest so that I can possibly get home to see Ash before I need to sleep for work again tomorrow...

Thanksgiving weekend approaches, family dining at my house with some of the family. Should be fun since I can introduce Ash to some of my family that actually come heh.
Other than the good food, I like the Thanksgiving weekend for the fact I get Monday off paid, hehe.

Thursday night I met a majority of Ashley's family. Fun and down to earth bunch :) Had a very fun time there :) Chatting with them all, eatting an awesome variety of food at the buffet they made and enjoying the night with Ashley and her family :)

Saturday I have my poker game and Ashley is busy at her mother's wedding... she says she will text my cell through-out the day hehehe good luck ;)

I'm hoping to win at poker that night so I can have extra money to spend on whatever I feel like :)

What the future holds

So it is now the middle of the week, and I am anxiously awaiting this weekend :)
Last weekend was really fun, the walks Pie, Ash and I went on were really fun and I got some good pictures. I went for another walk last night with Ash along the boardwalk and got some more pictures, probably won't get around to posting them until tomorrow night... maybe.
Going out again tonight when I get home with Ash to take more pictures and then hang out with our friend Gabs.
Tomorrow I get to meet most of Ashley's family :) They are doing the wedding rehearsal and I was invite for dinner :) Ash is kinda dreading seeing some of her family but I'm sure it will be a fun time. Her step-father and her mother have already proven to be the joking types :)
Friday night will be a short night for me. Ash is required to be home early so she can be rested for her mothers wedding on Saturday.
Saturday night I'm hosting a poker game at my place. A friend of mine who used to work at my workplace and his brother are coming out, along with a few of my friends. Should be fun... if I win hehehehe :P
Later on Saturday night I'm going out to pick up Ash and Pie from the Old Mill Hotel after the wedding (Pie can't get the car so I am offering the ride home :P) and then we're going over to Ashley's house since she will have it to herself :D Should be a fun time.
Sunday Ash and I are planning on going to the Flea Market, see what stuff is there. I haven't been to the Flea Market since it moved to its new location, so it should be interesting to see what has changed, left, and been added.
Monday I'm going walking around town to post my PBTech ads and see if I can get some kind of business started up, even though word-of-mouth has been going quite well thus far.

That is my weekend. Ill be sure to take more pictures and post them before the weekend comes to an end.

A hiking we will go!

So this past weekend I went on a couple walks with my friend Pieter and my girlfriend Ashley. Brought my camera along with me :) After such a long wait before I finally got some pictures, here they are for your viewing pleasure:

Weekend of surprises and relaxation.

So the weekend has come and gone and it will never be forgotten. The events that happened this weekend will forget be carved in my memory forever and ever, and the important people who were apart of it will forever be remembered.

There are many more memories like this weekend that have already been carved in my head for me to look back on and remember. Like the labour day weekend where we all went downtown and ate at the Pickle Barrel, the wonderland trips and even the many many nights we played cards :D

This weekend I spent as much time with Ashley as I could, and for that I love her even more.
Friday was the beach night with Gabs, Pie, Ash and I. We took a cooler a sleeping back to sit on and a couple beach chairs. Went to the beach and didn't return until 4am Saturday.
It was a really really fun time. Ash and I found out that day as well that she was a grade below me in both Elementary AND Highschool... go figure... :P

Saturday we all went to breakfast cause Dan was hungry :P So we all went to Golden Griddle for a nice buffet lunch and Ash brought out her old elementary yearbook :P Gabs, who stayed at her place the night, was all giggles when she found out my old nickname, Butterball, hehe. I was a bit pudgy in my younger years, but I've been working it off every so slowly :) hehe.
Gabs said she would never let it die, but she hasn't called me it since :P hehe gotta love her short memory :P.

Saturday afternoon was nothing but a bunch of friends over at my place doing their own thing, Dan was reading DnD books, Dave was reading some book he has called 'Black', and Gabs and Ash were drawing... well Ash was drawing for a bit until she came over to me... hehehe...

Saturday night was really fun. Once everyone left, Ash and I decided to watch Pirates of the Carribbean... needless to say... we saw the very beginning... and thats it... hehehe.

After I took Ash home she messaged me on msn about a note on her door. Her step-dad made up a little note about the small hickey I left on her neck the first night we went out. It had pictures of a shark, a vampire and some doctor taking blood. It was rather funny since her step-dad was making fun of me sucking her neck and her trying to hide the hickey... hehehe. I can't wait to meet her parents... they sound like fun people to chat with.

Sunday I woke up to my parents making breakfast... mmmm breakfast... anyways, I walked over to Ashley's place and we walked over to Pie's place to get him to go swimming with us. Funny enough when we got to his place, he was already at my house playing pool... lol. We got back to my place, and I had to wait for Gabs to come over to pick up her art supplies she bought on Saturday before I could go swimming.
Swimming was... fun... a bit chilly... and with Ash stealing most of my body-heat... hehe I was shivering a lot :P Ivan and Ryan came by unexpectedly and I chatted with them for a bit. Apparently Ryan's relationship is dying down after a year now... kinda sucks... but maybe it will pick up for him soon :) Ivan is starting his own business as well doing web design :) Might see about working with him too... who knows.

After swimming I had to drop off Ash and Pie at home. Ash had to go meet her new grandparents for the first time and eat dinner with them. Apparently her new grandmother talks up a storm... hehe.
While Ash was gone we went out to get food and then returned to Gabs in my basement abusing my laptop hehehe. She made Ash think she was me on msn... it was rather fun to watch...
Gabs: "Ashley kissed me! *laughs*" Ya... it was fun to watch lol.

Dave and Gabs ended up watching some flash videos and Jon and Matt who were also over, talked about anime and watched Matt play Mechwarrior. I layed on the couch half-alseep missing Ashley hehe.

Afterwards Ashley came back from dinner and txt'd my cell saying to pick her up... I giggled and ran up the stairs, grabbed the keys and was off to Ashley's :D
Needless to say I was awake... hehehe.

When returning with Ashley we proceeded to chat a bit, Ash showed off some of her old art which I find really really good :D, she likes drawing anime style and I really like anime :D, and then we played 6 player Euchre.

Around 9:30 everyone left and Ash and I went to the boardwalk... fun place to be :D We played in the park and on the swings and walked and talked around the boardwalk. We were there for about 2 and a half hours... so much fun :D

Tonight is probably cards and a movie. Was going to go to the boardwalk to take some nice evening sunset pictures, but its overcast and raining a bit so I will go tomorrow with Ash :D

Will post some nice pictures tomorrow hopefully... I've kinda been slacking for obvious reason hehehe.

...life takes a sharp turn for the better!

So it's been almost a week since my last post and much has changed.
I've been hanging out with Gabs, Pie and Ashley for most of this week. Ashley and I are now going out and we're loving each others company :D It feels strange having only known eachother since Saturday, almost 7 days ago, and yet, before I even got to know a lot about her, something clicked inside of me and I knew I had to be with her. The night I was suppose to ask her out we kissed, and well... that kind of threw my asking her out out the window hehe, she giggled when I told her this :P.
Throughout the rest of the week, Gabs was working the evenings and Pie was doing schoolwork, so Ash and I had the evening to ourselves :D I tried inviting some friends over, but they said they would kind of feel awkward if only one of them came over, and that would be true hehe, Ash and I can't keep our hands off of eachother :)

Tonight, Gabs, Pie, Ash and myself are going out to the lake to have a small overnight picnic kind of thing. I'm sure Gabs and Pie will end up ignoring Ash and I for certain reasons :P hehehe
Saturday I'm taking Gabs to Curry's, a really good art place out in Whitby, last time we went there it was closed.
And Sunday, as they say in the weather it's suppose to be really good weather, I'm probably going swimming sometime during the day. Other than that, who knows what will happen over the weekend :D

Will post new pictures on my next post if I am able to take any good ones tonight and over the weekend.

When everything goes smoothly...

So this weekend was a nice relaxing one compared to many others I have had :P

Saw The Protector on friday night, it was really really good and had a decent storyline to it compared to Ong Bak, which was still a good movie none-the-less. Tony Jaa rules!

Saturday went for a long bike ride (first bike ride in over 3 years...) it was really fun but I hurt so much afterwards... it was rather funny :P
My friends Pieter and Gabs and I rode down to the waterfront to walk around the beach and skip rocks along the lake, unfortunately Gabs has less than zero skill in skipping rocks and managed to hit me beside her while trying to skip a rock O_o :P
We finally started to ride back, and along the way met up with some of Gabs' friends who I met back in June at a party of theres. After a quick chat with them we went off and met one of Pieter's friends, Ashley. Funny girl, and unafraid to speak her mine... at least while Pie is around :P

Saturday night I went out to my friend Dan's nightclub, Club Motion, out on Simcoe and 401 in Oshawa. It was his birthday and since he kept asking me to come out ever since he opened the place over a year ago, I finally decided to check it out. It was fun, music was ok, definitely not my taste but it wasnt THAT bad :P Pieter came with me and was anxious to go on the dance floor, but not many people were dancing, and he asked some girl but got rejected :( aw well, Im sure he will drag me out to another clubs he likes better one day :P
I had fun for the first half of the night when I met old friends that I havent seen in over 2 - 3 years :) Hopefully going to be able to go out to my friend Dave's new Karaoke Bar on Thursday, once he sends me the info. That should be fun, although I don't karaoke much hehe.

After the club, I went for an hour and a half walk with Pieter and Ashley... it was fun and definitely 'interesting' lol.

Sunday is a nice leisure day, nothing much that is exciting. Hoping to take some more pictures sometime soon... I've kinda been slacking and since I didn't bring my camera to the beach (some really nice shots there to take) I'm going to have to go back there on a good day and take some pictures :)

So, I finally got my business cards made :D I love them so much! Although I need to add my title to the card sometime soon... I plan on changing the card as soon as I get my website up and running in the next few months anyways.

Not much has happened since I posted my last post, starting my nightly walks, yay excerise! And a good friend of mine joins me most nights so far. We chat about everything and anything, its awesome to be able to talk about the things we talk about. From careers, to school, to work, to women and the many problems they create in our worlds :P hehe.

Just a small post tonight, should have some good pictures to post after the weekend :) Going to my friends club for his birthday on Saturday night. Should be fun... I hope... I've never been to a club and kinda don't like the atmosphere it seems to have, but I cant knock it until I try it eh? heh.

Parties, Money and Goodbyes

So, long time since I last posted. Where to start...

Went to wonderland with a few friends. Waking up bright and early for fun and games is much easier to do than to get up for work :P So much fun was had on many of the rides. The lazy river was the most fun I believe, chasing Lisa and Gabs around the river was just too much fun, and Dan never gave up the chase... too funny.
Got a key-chain with out entrance picture on my keys :D (Thanks Dan!) and we all left with a small sunburn of some kind hehe.
On the drive home I got Dan to take a picture of Lisa and Gabs passed out on the pillow in the back, it was quite funny to see, Ill upload it later tonite.

Friday went downtown to shop with Lisa, Gabs, Dan, Pieter and Jon. Took some pictures while I was down there. Some of the mall we were in,

After walking around downtown for 3 or 4 hours, we went to Pickle Barrel for lunch!

Everyone ordered a milkshake since Pickle Barrel's milkshakes are really really big!

After downtown, we all went back to my place to play cards and chat. Lisa and Pieter stayed over till 5:30am (good times lol) and I ended up not going to the AnimeCon the next day for lack of sleep and lack of motivation to actually go lol.

Saturday afternoon was full of fun and games, have a bunch of people over (I was thinking like 5 or 6, but it turned into 11 or 12 O_o) and we played cards, had some good food and talked about alot of crazy stuff.

Fun times :D

Come monday though, Lisa had to head off to Trent University to start her education to make lots and lots of money :P I wish you the best of luck Lisa and hope you have an awesome time at Trent!

And now I leave for another day, I wont be posting until probably sunday night, but I should have some more pictures to put up, more landscape ones hopefully :)

So, a busy weekend it was indeed. Haven't gotten my camera back from my sister when she went to Marineland on Saturday, so I will post my pictures tomorrow (Monday).

This weekend was quite fun. Played cards for a majority of the weekend, it's become a really large part of my get-togethers somehow lol.

Saturday went to the Town Centre with my friend Dan while we waited for our friend Lisa to finish work. Didn't do much shopping cause as a guy, I suck at shopping for anything other than games or books :P

After the mall we went to bowling :D fun times were had. I won one overall game with a high score of 133 I think... cant remember... but it's the highest I have ever gotten that's for sure! :P
Dan smoked his leg with the bowling ball when he went to throw it one time... limped for the rest of the day hahaha.
Lisa broke her nail by throwing it a certain way (that I suggested she throw like but didn't make her, so then she blamed me for the broken nail...)

Played cards after bowling and again on sunday night. Nothing really special, but it was fun.

Will post my pictures tomorrow evening before my house gets raided by my friends again.

Company car on two wheels!

Well I havent been able to post anything today as I've been kinda busy. Had to leave work early cause my mother felt more ill than she was the night before so I had to drive her to the emerg. As I was leaving work, my sister called and said she was taking my mother to the emerg. So now I had the rest of the day off, just needed to take my dog out, hehe.

This isnt the first time my mother has had to go to the emerg. It isnt anything life-threatening. She has Crohns, a very annoying disease, but her's is a sporadic case I think. Yesterday it started acting up and today it was worse.

She will be ok, she just needs to stay in the hospital for a day or so, so the physicians can keep an eye on her and check her out, whatnot.

Took some more random pictures, will post any that are at all good later tonight.

I'm off to watch Heat, after seeing Miami Vice a few weeks back I needed to be reminded what a GOOD action movie is like.

One more day of work until the weekend, Woot! And this weekend will be a fun one :D Going bowling with a bunch of good friends on Saturday afternoon, probably having a bunch of people over tomorrow night for games and stuff... as usual :P but even tho the only planned thing is bowling, Im sure it will be a fun weekend. All my weekends are fun :D

Took some pictures before I finished up tonight.

This is my Father's swords he bought a long time ago. No they aren't authentic, else I'd be keeping them elsewhere than on a wall in my basement :P And considering my friends usually play with them when they are bored O_o... heh.
The gun above the swords is what is called a 'Newfie Gun'. The barrel is backwards for humour and the sticker on it states 'Only been used once' Quite funny but after looking at it for 6 years... it's kinda boring now...

This is a picture of my Tsubasa poster using Sepia. I liked how it blurred since my shutter speed was lowered for the shot. It came out quite nice I think :) Don't hurt your eyes on it hehe.

I also realized that, unless it is Fall, Winter, City or a Distance Landscape, other landscape shots aren't that appealing to me...

This small but wide landscape shot I took while on my walk with Eddie, I just didn't get around to editting the picture to post it here until now (damn hydro towers and wires really ruin the picture :S) Without the sky added in the picture, I kinda like it. But come fall and winter, I will have really good landscape shots... unless I go anywhere high or cool I'll be sure to look for good landscapes there too.

In other news, Pluto is no longer considered a Planet. It is now considered a 'Dwarf Planet'. And why is it no longer a planet? Because the new 'rules' that make a planet, a planet, is

"a celestial body that is in orbit around the sun, has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a ... nearly round shape, and has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit" - CNN.com

And so, just because Pluto's orbit isnt clear of other orbits, it overlaps Neptune's, it is now considered a 'Dwarf Planet'... Our scientists REALLY have too much time on their hands I think...

Under the summer rain

So I got off work early today. My mother wasn't feeling well, and since we carpool together, once she goes home I go with her :D hehe.

Since I got home early, I decided to go for a long walk with Eddie, my Aussie-Shepherd/Chow puppy of 7 years :D

We went for about an hour walk around the block, I mainly went looking for some good pictures to take, but by the time we were near the backpaths Eddie was tired, so we came home.

When the cold weather comes in, or when I can go for a walk in the evening and Eddie wont get so tired, Ill walk the backpaths and take some nice scenery pictures :)

In other news, I heard on the radio today that Eddie Murphy and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice from The Spice Girls) are getting married... O_o I don't think ANYONE saw that one coming... but anyways, congrats to both of them for finding eachother tolerable enough to wed :P

So, looked through my laptop... ya... only a couple pictures which I used to play with in PS... but no others... bah... and I had such good ones from Florida... I'll check my old computer tomorrow to see if I still have them by chance... but probably don't.

Took a bunch of pictures at work and home when some friends came over. They all sucked so I'm not going to post them hehe. But I will get better ones!

I found this picture in my camera from when my sister, her boyfriend and his son went to the CNTower one day, thought the shot was quite good. This is a portion of Downtown Toronto.

I'll take some more pictures tomorrow, probably more landscape ones like the above since I prefer landscape and nature than portrait pictures, it's just more fun to photograph hehe.

So ya, not much to my blog yet... but that will change in due time :) Everyone starts somewhere.
So, first day of my blog being live and I don't have much to say...
Planning on working on photography over the course of the next 5 or 6 months, so Ill be posting a lot of pictures. Might head back to school for photography as well... not sure as of yet... but lots of time to think about it.

Still deciding whether to get a new Windows Laptop or change over to a Mac Laptop... I guess it depends if I want to actually learn how to edit my pictures in PS and make them look all cool and such hehe.

PBTechnologies finally has a vendor permit so I can now charge PST :D lol but I still give discounts to friends ;)
Apparently my business number is my GST number, so PBTechnologies is all good to go! Time to start the marketing project! Wooo!
